14 Cornhill, London

Main contractor: ISG plc
  • design and installation of 250 tonnes of temporary support steelwork to facilitate the removal of existing main columns
  • 1500 tonnes of structural steelwork
  • installation of 8 new MEGA columns inserted through the existing structure
  • to support two new hanging floors at roof level without imposing any additional loading on the existing frame
  • post jacking of floors after construction
  • off site intumescent fire protection
  • installation of full storey height trusses weighing up to 16 tonnes
  • removal and replacement of 52 existing columns
  • extensive site modifications to existing steelwork

41 Lothbury, London

Main contractor: Wates Construction
  • erection of 650 tonnes of core steelwork in an existing structure
  • 40 meter span 3 storey vierendel girder weighing over 50 tonnes
  • reconstituted stone staircases
  • extensive site modification to existing steelwork
  • top down construction of hanging floors
  • architectural atrium roof trusses
  • decking and studding

Knighton House, Little Tichfield Street, London

  • 500 tonnes of structural steelwork
  • extensive site survey works to existing
  • partially retained concrete frame

  • design and fabrication of feature staircase
  • structural plating of concrete columns and beams

Westminster Underground Station, London

Main contractor: Balfour Beaty
  • over 600 tonnes of escalator housing and staircases
  • all fed through the ground floor slab
  • installation started 11 storeys below the slab
  • installation finish at ground floor slab level
