Workshop and Fabrication

Our workshop and fabrication unit at Lancing is capable of producing 12,000 tonnes of fabricated steel per year.

In 2006 we undertook a refurbishment programme at a cost of over £1m, and installed state of the art equipment, to further increase our speed of production and accuracy. This has effectively increased our factory space by 20% and our tonnage capacity by 2,400 tonnes.

Intumescent paint

Our intumescent paint area is the only one of its kind in the south of England and enables us to offer significantly reduced lead times, through not having to send materials away for processing and incurring the resultant transport delays and handling costs.

Having the facility on site also guarantees an enhanced quality finish to the painted surfaces, which can otherwise be damaged during transport.

Design and Drawing Office

Drawings are downloaded from the CAD drawing office computers directly into the works CNC machines.

We have fully serviced CAD drawing offices at both of our operational sites with, 10 draughts people at Baddesley and 5 at Lancing. We also have two fully qualified designers and one trainee designer.

Steel Erection

We directly employ our own teams of steel erectors and site engineers to ensure effective site management and so that we react more rapidly to changes in our client requirements.
